A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to nonexistent addresses under the exact same domain name. For example, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you have a shared hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a lot of features, but it is really simple to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires just a click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have created will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll just need to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the given email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and takes yet another mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be activated easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll find a mini sign conveniently located directly next to each one of them. With only a click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option using the menu that will appear. If any of the prerequisites for creating a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will warn you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
